Maha-Intrapreneur Updates
The ‘Maha-Intrapreneur Awards 2009’ was conferred to winners in a ceremony held at Bhageerath Auditorium at Persistent Systems premises on Senapati Bapat Road. The award function was graced by the presence of Nitin Paranjape - CEO & MD, Hindustan Unilever Ltd. who was the Chief Guest for the function, Kishor Chaukar - MD, Tata Industries, Pramod Chaudhari - Chairman, Praj Industries, Shashank Inamdar – CEO & MD, Praj Industries and Dr. Arun Mudbidri - Director, SIBM.

Lifetime Achievement Award:
A special Lifetime Achievement Award is being conferred on Mr. B G Deshmukh for his outstanding contribution in the civil administration services during his tenure with the Central and State Governments and his contributions through various social activities. He has played a pivotal role as Principal Secretary to Prime Minister; Cabinet Secretary, Chief Secretary at State Level and the Municipal Commissioner of Mumbai during his 39 years of service. Presently, he is Chairman of Action for Good Governance & Networking in India (AGNI). He is also on the Board of Directors of many leading Companies
The awards will be presented in a gala award function on December 19th, 2009 at the hands of Mr. Nitin Paranjpe, CEO & MD, Hindustan Unilever Limited, who would be the chief guest at the event.

What they won:
Each Awardee in Category A will be presented a trophy of “Praj Maha-Intrapreneur Award”, “Certificate of Appreciation” and Fellowship for a maximum of Rs. 100,000/- (Rupees One Lakh) to attend an Executive Development Program from any reputed institute in India.
Each Awardee in Category B (Individual/Organization) will be presented a trophy of “Praj Maha-Intrapreneur Award”, “Certificate of Appreciation” and Rs. 100,000/- (Rupees One Lakh)

It gives us great pleasure to share that we have received a good response to our call for award nominations in all categories. Through the process, we have received ‘best amongst the best’ contestants. We thank everyone for their support and applaud the contestants for displaying the ‘Spirit of Intrapreneurship’ by agreeing to participate in the Maha-intrapreneur Award process. We also thank their organizations for supporting their efforts.
As is the case with most award processes, we are in the shortlisting process. The 1st phase of screening is over where the judges of both the categories have gone through all the application forms individually and have come up with the list for the next round. Some of you have made it to the next round, while some of you may not have made it. This by no means is a reflection on the good work you have been doing. You have proven to be a benchmark in this process and that in itself is an achievement. We have sent across letters of status intimation to all of you, which you should be receiving in some time. Mean while, just to brief you on the Phase I and the final award ceremony:
2nd phase of evaluation begins from November 14th, 2009 for Category B at MCCIA, Pune where the jury will be interacting with the shorlisted candidates:
